Wood Lake 2019 Regatta Sailing Race on Sun Aug 4th at 1pm

Attention all former Wood Lake Sailing Club members. There is still currently just over $600.00 remaining in the Wood Lake Sailing Club bank account. Following discussions with a couple of former WLSC commodores, it was decided to withdraw the money (and close the bank account). The $600 will be used to buy gift cards to be used as prizes for next weekend’s regatta sailing race.

There will be prizes for the winning boat in each class (single sail, double sail and junior) of $100, with $50 for the second-place boat in each class. The remainder will be distributed by the marshal for various things including enthusiasm, flattering the race marshal (at this point this is me, unless anyone else steps up and wants to marshal). Prizes will be handed out at the finishing line, so if you win or place second, stick around for a few minutes to collect your prize.

See you at the starting line at 1pm (sharp) next Sunday, August 4th. Look for the raised flag and sailing buoys somewhere near the middle of the lake.
