Watch for Wildlife on Roads
/Now is the time to be more aware on the roads with the temperatures warming up. It’s the time of year when the wildlife make their presence known. The MNR is reminding motorists to scan the road from shoulder to shoulder and if you see wildlife on the side, to slow down and make sure the animal knows you're there. You can sound your horn in a series of short bursts, or blink your headlights if it’s dark. Moose, elk and deer are particularly active this time of year and you’ll find them most often at dusk and dawn. Most importantly, you should avoid swerving to miss an animal, but brake firmly to stay in control. Click here for more tips from MTO.
