Fish Stocking Plan for Canadian waters of Lake Ontario

The Ministry of Natural Resources is inviting comments on a draft of the very first fish stocking plan for Lake Ontario (and its headwaters) until April 2,2015.  This plan will guide future stocking practices from 2015 - 2024 to help achieve lake-wide and local fisheries management objectives that are aligned to bi-national and provincial objectives. The plan for Lake Ontario has implications not only for the lake itself but also for Ontario's Fisheries Management Zones 16 (SW Ontario), and 17 (the Kawartha Lakes, and Trent River).
