TOTAL FIRE BAN in effect for Muskoka, so no fireworks for Canada Day weekend

As Canada Day weekend approaches, Bracebridge reminds residents and visitors that the Muskoka total fire ban and Provincial restricted fire zone remain in effect.

During a Fire Ban, the Town of Bracebridge Burning Control By-law restricts all open-air fires and fireworks:

  • NO recreational open-air fires

  • NO non-recreational open-air fires

  • NO detonation of fireworks.

Failure to comply with the fire ban restrictions may result in a fine of at least $250.

For more information on the current fire danger rating, visit bracebridge.ca/firedangerrating or call 1-877-847-1577.

As we restrain our activities & cope with air quality advisories, lets think of those less fortunate who are dealing directly with wildfires across Canada.
